Manikya Malaraya Poovi Lyrics (English Translation) – Priya Prakash Varrier

Manikya malaraya poovi,
(A girl like a pearl flower)

Mahathiyam ka khadeeja Beevi,

[Here highness khadeeja Beevi(RA)]

Makkayenna punya naatil,
Vilasidum Naari,
Vilasidum Naari,

(The woman who lived like a queen in the holy city of Mecca)

Maanikya malaraya puvi,
(A girl like a pearl flower)

Mahathiyam ka khadeeja Beevi,

[Here highness khadeeja Beevi(RA)]

Makkayenna punya naatil,
Vilasidum Naari,
Vilasidum Naari,

(The woman who lived like a queen in the holy city of Mecca)

Haathimunnabeye vilichu,

[She called khathim an Nabbiyyin Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)]

Kacha vadatheen ayachu,

(Sent as in charge of her trade expedition)

Kanda neram khalbinullil,
Mohamoudichu..Mohamoudichu..

First sight of him ,Her Qalb (heart) desired him,

Kachavaradum Kayinj,

Muthrasoolulla vann,

(Blessed Rasoolullah (PBUH) came back after expedition)

Kaliyana aaalojanaikyaay

Beevi Thunij.. Beevi Thunij..

(To marry the Prophet was the Beevi desire)

Manikya malaraya poovi,
(A girl like a pearl flower)

Mahathiyam ka khadeeja Beevi,

[Here highness khadeeja Beevi(RA)]

Makkayenna punya naatil,
Vilasidum Naari,
Vilasidum Naari,

(The woman who lived like a queen in the holy city of Mecca)

  1. This song should be banned or it should be removed from the movie, bcoz no one in this world cannot be compared to khadeeja beebi(RA), priya is not even the dust of khadeeja beebi’s(RA) feet. These type of songs should not be made which compares a common person with the great great personalities.shame on that person who made and sang this song and shame on those Muslim actors who worked in this movie they had not even stopped to make this song,i don’t know what face they will show to God in akhirath.MAY ALLAH SHOW THEM THE RIGHT WAY.

    • As if you have seen Respected Khadeeja beebi. And they haven’t compared her. It’s just that they wanted to show how beautiful she was. And take it as an entertainment and art dude. No need to get serious with it. They haven’t shown anything wrong or anything which would bring disrespect to Khadeeja beebi

    • What’s wrong in compare someone with a great personality. I might love someone like crazy and think that she is the most beautiful thing in this world as beautiful as Khadeeja beebi or anyone like her.
Why you guys think so narrow and like lunatics. Devotion is great thing and we also need to remember when we become extremely devotional, that’s the time we become extremists.
So let’s be devotional and rational.
      Thanks

    • There is no comparison in this song …
Just some guys r singing to promote the song & be proud that they are enriching the tradition …

  2. There is nothing wrong with the lyrics. It doesn’t say any girl is like the Holy Khadija. On the contrary, the song reminds us of the Holy love of our Prophet Muhammad pbuh for his Holy wife.

    • Brother, there is no problem in lyrics bt objection is on the act done in the video while these lyrics are playing on background.. Boy and Girl are winking on each other while the story of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and Hazrat Khadija R.A is playing on background… This is objectionable for muslims ..

  3. What is the logic to use these lyrics when depicting school crush?…or are the director and producers linguistically challenged…which i think not.

  4. this song should be removed from the movie…THOUGH there is nothing wrong in the words but becoz the situation at which the song is running is not acceptible by the muslims. this is disrespect to the hazrat-e-khadija(RA.) and our prophet muhammad(PBUH)

  5. Omar Abdul Wahab (omur lulu) you are really lul who is directing this nonsense movie. it is shame for u as a muslim you did this nonsense and shame-full stuff.. please try to understand and remove these words from this song. we have no proplem what ur are doing we dont mind if u will change ur name to omur krishna from omur lulu. But it is shame for u as a muslim you are not respecting your prophet(PBUH). i think this is also big mistake of your parents who did not guide you in a proper way and make u such kind of person who can respect of his prophet(PBUH)….

  6. Stfu dude Allah will punish us if we did anything wrong and if we didn’t he won’t so gtfo and take your bullshit away

  7. there is no problem in lyrics bt objection is on the act done in the video while these lyrics are playing on background.. Boy and Girl are winking on each other while the story of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and Hazrat Khadija R.A is playing on background… This is objectionable for muslims ..

  8. Please ban this song as soon as possible… very dirty picturization…shame on the team of this song..we should respect all the religions.

  9. Dear Brothers & Sisters,
Its indeed wonderful lyrics and amazing composition..
Now if any one of you are offended or unfortunate about its picturisation, kindly first understand the background in the song is a college fest which i am am sure that happens in all colleges. And the instance is a boy singing a ”Maapilappattu” which is a genre of mappila songs which is a common traditional genre of singing which has been prevailing in Malabar since ages… And just FYI, In kerala , Hindus, Muslim & Christians do sings and participate in this Maapilappattu competitions in schools and colleges…
So the context of the song is one of the student singing the song during the college fest or annula day and things or activities which is happening off stage… which has no connection to those song… Its just that when the some one is singing the audience might do many things depending on the event and where its taking place.. If you all have been to schools and colleges i am sure non of us would have sat straight and listend just whats happening on stage..
So the visual here was just what few students were engaged in during the song was sung.. Now in what context those students were engaged in those .. Please watch the movie and then commend…
Come on we are all grownups and have some sense.. Never Judge things just from what you see from a glimpse..
The background captured in a flirtatious manner is what 2 students were doing amoung the audiance who were more concentrating among each other where every one else was enjoying that beautiful song..
And this song was not composed for this movie.. it was composed way back in 1990’s and the lyrics was written another 10 years before that and use to be sung during weddings in merala in malabar.. And those 2 people have also had no problem in using the song in this contest as they know in what contest the visuals were short..
We the People of Kerala which has a good majority of all these three communities have taken it in the right spirit.. So dont get offended or sad from the visuals shown as its all common every where when its a college or school fest..
    So just take it easy..
And enjoy the song and movie.
We respect and love all relegions and its feelings.. So take it in the right spirit and dont do unwanted criticisms… Understand and then respond..
    Thank you all..
    Love you all..

    • Hey Boney! Everything you explained was seem right. But hereafter if any body think of this song (which is actually naat) will reminds the actions did by these characters and here comes the wrong angle. Nobody recognise that this is related with the Prophet PBUH. This hearts the sentiments of muslims. Other angle, yes what happens between two students does not relates to the performance on the stage in the video. But a religious lyrics should not be there in background when such actions are going on the screen. It is shameful act, dont know why people play with religious sentiments of community. May be for popularity as religious points are hot topics nowadays.

    • Hi Boney,
You can confine your opinion to you. We muslims have special obligations, to call the name of Prophet of Islam or his wives , his companions with utter most respect without a second thought or this or that. I firmly believe the sacredness of Islam will remain in tact till the end. In nutshell no one has rights to associate things like these to any if the faiths. Hence one should not dare to adventure with any faith in future , come what may.
      Thanks

  10. I just wanna say …..this song is against the dignity of our prophet (P.B.U.H) our Allah given.the best tribute to him in the form of the Holy Quran….they should have to ask forgiveness to Allah and entire Muslim world how they can launch this song shameful act for that people

  11. The lyrics of the song is fine… is mei kch b ghlt nahi kaha gya.. ye sb to hm bchpan se parhte r sunteaa rahe hain… lekin is song ki koi video nahi honi chahye thi… is ki video ko ban kiya jana chahye

  12. We did’t need this kind of song will be on social media and can’t be listen this where girl shows her beauty and. Use name of prophet on there lyrics

  13. Even boney’s explanation was good but showing such videos at that time when name of prophet is sung is not acceptable and even these holy names should not be sung… If they were recited since decades Ago , for sure they were in form of NAAT and not song.

And such picturisation even not in context to song but done at same time is strictly not acceptable.

    Should be withdrawn or modified

  14. I think this song should be banned. This song discusses our Holy Prophet(PBUH) and Hazrat Khadija. All the Muslims know that how high rank our Prophet has and he is being the subject , the topic of this song . This is such a shame. And seriously this song should be banned . How can someone discuss the Holy Prophet(PBUH) in a song.

  15. pyari nabi kreem se jura her rishta her ada her cheez pe muslim ji jan se fida hain.is trhah k gane likh k ap dunia main muslmano k jazbat ko bhrkiain he gain.please stop this kind way of song.

    • I think it is acceptable in ur religion to make shameful picturization of ur bhajans which describes about ur gods and u guys love them but it is not acceptable in our religion to do such things.bcoz we the Muslims respect our Allah, our prophet(PBUH) and khadeeja beebi(RA) and we can’t support any acts which disrespect them.

  16. I think it is acceptable in ur religion to make shameful picturisation of ur religious bhajans which describes about ur gods and u guys love them, but it is not acceptable in our religion to do such shameful things which disrespect Islam bcoz we the Muslims love and respect our Allah, our prophet(PBUH) and khadeeja beebi(RA) and can’t tolerate any acts which disrespect them.

  17. Aur kisi ko Kuch kahna hai
Actually problem gaane k hone na hone se Nahi hai sirf bakwaas karne se hai.
Ye song pehle bhi Gaya jata tha and it is written by a Muslim. Jab to kisi ne koi sawal Nahi uthaya.
Rahi baat video ki to we r living in 2018 so grow up time badal chuka hai. Kon aisa Nahi hai Jo kisi ko date Nahi karta aur jab aap kisi se pyar karte ho to aakpe liye wahi sab Kuch hota hai aur aap uski tulna kisi see bhi karte ho.
Rahi us wink ki baat college ki Love story hai thodi mischiefs hi to hai itna bawal kyo kar rahe ho.
Aur Jo ye bol rahe hai na ki apne bhagwan pe raho ye gana ek Muslim ne likha to wo to apne hisaab see likhega na ,har writer ki apni ek speciality hoti hai.
Ye dharm majahab insaan k liye bane hai unhe achayi k raaste k par chlane k liye dharm k liye insaan hai bna.

  18. Brothers n sisters here v hvn’t any objection regarding the lyrics of the song it has beautiful adorable words in the praise of Prophet Muhammad sallellahualaihiwasallam n Hazrat Khadija tul Kubra (r.z) but the picturisation is unfortunate disgusting.,it sounds good in the grace of our Beloved Prophet Sallellahualaihiwasallam n Kahadija (r.z) but inappropriate to be in films n that too with such disgusting picturisation…wheather they made comparison or not but if you want to show the dignity of such personalities just stands on your college or school stages n pray n show in the honor of the dignity of such personalities but this shouldn’t be in the films…just no.
Islam prohibits us to do such kinds of act.
Don’t know what’s going wrong with them random making anything just for the success of their movies.May Allah (God) hidayah to all, Ameen.
    JazakAllah
    Thankew

    • Brother/sister v hvn’t any objection about the lyrics of the song it has nice words but v r concerned about the picturisation, it shouldn’t be in the movies n v will always be there to protest if it comes to our Lord(Allah), our Beloved Prophet Sallellahualaihiwasallam n other such personalities no matter wheather v r live in 2018 or 3018 .

  19. This song should be banned, as soon as possible , how could people compare any girl to Hazrat Khadeeja Ra . We dnt have problem with movei actress . The problem is only the song becoz of their lyrics .

  20. Their is no problem with the lyrics but the problem is why you have to put the holy song of prophets’s wife into middle of this movie which is solely dedicated a common girl. That makes no sense. This song should be banned
